Leno's new CNBC show is confirmed.

I do watch his online garage videos from time to time, but just as many
people only tune in to talk shows if there is a guest they want to see, I
really only check out Leno's videos if there's a car I'm interested in. And
oddly enough the ones that contain a lot of production (like the very
blatant advertisement he did showing off the KITT car from the Knight Rider
reboot) are painful to watch compared to installments where he just talks
with somebody about a car he likes and takes it for a test drive around
Burbank.

When the US got its own version of Top Gear, I'd said Leno would've been a
terrific choice for a co-host. I think it is odd that in his two decades as
host, he really didn't bring his passion for cars to the Tonight Show. The
closest he came was having the test track/obstacle course for celebrities
during his ill-fated prime time series. While I like the format of the US
Top Gear, there is something to be said for the original UK format with an
audience and a celebrity lap and the ability to just sit down and chat
about cars. Leno could very easily use those styles of segments and adapt
them to suit his skillset.
