When DirecTV reinstated TWC last April, I seem to recall that they promised to
have less programming like this and devote more of their programming
to.......WEATHER.

The Weather Channel has announced that three original primetime series will be
returning.

The third season of "Prospectors" premiers on Dec. 7 at 9 pm ET. The show
follow miners as they conspire on the mountains of Colorado to discover some of
the planet's rarest gems for big paydays.

"Prospectors" will be followed by the third season debut of "Highway Thru
Hell." The the men of Jamie Davis Heavy Rescue fight to keep the roads open on
some of the most economically important and most traveled routes in America.
Jackknifed semi-trucks and death-defying cliff rescues are just a sample of
what Jamie and his team experience.

The second season of "Why Planes Crash" premiers on Dec. 15 at 9 pm ET,
investigating elements that contributed to some of the world's most shocking
aviation incidents. Witnesses, survivors and experts weigh in on case files of
the FAA. The series also the series explores what happens when weather goes
terribly wrong for those traveling by air.
