Thanks to four nominations in the animation category for separate episodes, "The Simpsons" has the most nominations in the Writers Guild of America awards (the only other show in the category is "Bob's Burgers," with two nods). The Amazon transsexualcom "Transparent" has three nods for comedy series, new series and the episode "The Wilderness," the variety show (default to late-night) nominees include John Oliver (in what will be the first of many awards nominations) along with "TDS," Amy Schumer, Colbert, Kimmel, Maher and "SNL," and "Jeopardy!" has competition in the game show category with "Hollywood Game Night" (although from the way I read the credits, the writers don't write the game material, they write what Jane Lynch reads off the prompter while non-union people write the game material--a practice often done by game shows with WGA contracts, while "Jeopardy!"s clue writers are all WGA members):
