I was listening to NPR last night and one critic had an interesting take on NBC's stunt programing. He said that although their live version of Sound of Music was widely considered to be awful, it drew 22 million viewers and was the talk of social media (that social media did nothing but bitch about it doesn't matter since there's no such thing as bad publicity). So the critic opined that Peter Pan might be a major TV network's first attempt to intentionally air something that people cannot wait to hate-watch.
