I really enjoyed it. Yeah, Perry may be miscast, but he looks like he's 
having fun, so I don't mind so far. I'm guessing he and Lennon will get 
more comfortable in their roles soon.
 
The show is just familiar enough to be comfort food, just different enough 
to be interesting. (The line near the end where Oscar was pining for his 
ex-wife shows they're trying to give the characters a bit more depth.) And 
I noticed that they had at least two jokes from the original Neil Simon 
play.
 
Hope the supporting cast sticks around - one problem with the original 
series was that characters like the Pigeon Sisters and Oscar's poker 
buddies (except Murray) largely disappeared when the show went in a 
different direction. Interesting that there's no Murray this time - I'm 
guessing the agent character will likely serve his function.
 
I'm not enthused so far, but I am hopeful.
