I have to side more with Joe than Kevin here; I thought Oliver's interview
was literally perfect in every way. I think he did address the issue Kevin
raises, with the bits about being spied on by the Russians in the shadow of
the former KGB. He hit Snowden hard, without blinking or compromising,
while also making very clear what Snowden's basic goal was.

The cliche that TDS was the best source of news for young people has never
been close to being true, but LWT is something completely different - it is
much more funny news than it is fake news. I don't think any news program
has done anywhere near as good a job as telling the Snowden story as Oliver
did, and in many ways I thought it superior to Citizenfour.
