That's not how they record The Simpsons, though. They generally record it together. There was an accommodation made when Hank Azaria was on Broadway for him to record from New York years ago, but I think they don't like having to do that. (Maude Flanders was killed off because the voice actress moved and they didn't want to have her record remotely)
Honestly, I think the showrunners are breathing a sigh of relief. Shearer is a well-known dick and now they don't have to deal with him.
