While, on the surface, Univision made a unilateral move to distance themselves from Trump, it's reasonable to assume there was an informal conversation between Latino groups and Univision execs about organized backlash to airing the pageant: protests, sponsor boycotts, etc. And Univision felt that dropping the pageant puts them on the right side of things. The thing is, the NBCU Spanish channels will be under the same pressure and unless the higher-ups at Comcast/NBC order them to air the show and suffer the damage, they will come to the same conclusion as Unvision. -- -- TV or Not TV ....
