Charles 'Bud' Berge <http://www.lehighvalleylive.com/bethlehem/index.ssf/2015/07/bethlehem_loses_a_christmas_ci.html#incart_related_stories>, 80, was Bethlehem's annual Christmas festival's only Saint Nick since its beginning in the 90s, and on his deathbed called out to all the folks that had came to see him over the years... boy, did they respond... <http://www.lehighvalleylive.com/bethlehem/index.ssf/2015/07/bethlehems_long-time_st_nichol.html> "Jolly Joe" Timmer <http://www.lehighvalleylive.com/bethlehem/index.ssf/2015/07/bethlehems_own_polka_legend_jo.html#incart_related_stories>, 85, a staple of the more-famous Bethlehem event Musikfest, was the local face of polka music for north of 40 years, the last half or so also running a small AM station <http://www.wgpasunny1100.com> that had split its days between polka, wider-ranging oldies and more recently syndicated talk, along with local sports enough of which due to its daytime-only licence got pushed to web-only... a new owner <http://www.lehighvalleylive.com/bethlehem/index.ssf/2015/03/jolly_joe_timmers_radio_statio.html>, stepping in only this spring, has since traded in most of the format for something called Ameripolitan music, which combines several traditional forms, but promised to hang on to a little talk and polka... the website still really doesn't tell a lot about what's going on there...
