Lela Swift (née Siwoff) grew up in New York City, and went to work for 
another pioneer, Peter Goldmark at CBS in the '40s... pretty soon she was 
cracking the boys' club of directors, per Deadline

Hollywood*, *Dark Shadows *(588 episodes), and *Ryan's Hope* (829 [!]
