Spectacular Ass is overdoing it a bit. I used to be on the email lists for
Obama and Organizing For America and this was pretty much all they did.
Donate $3 and be entered into a drawing to be flown to an event to meet the
president. It took a few years to realize that this was the extent of
supporter engagement they were interested in and I unsubscribed from the
emails.

Since the major part of Bush's drawing is a flight to NYC and a hotel room,
it doesn't seem so egregious. And tying it to the LS appearance means Bush
doesn't have to spend more than a minute or two with the winners. Plus
getting this attention from Colbert might have helped the fundraising
effort.
