Sorry, we’ll have to disagree. I didn’t see The View, but an abbreviated TED-like talk, no matter what the subject, is out of place in a segment that features the contestants showing off a skill in one of the arts. Years of hard work and dedication go into learning to sing, dance, or play an instrument. Those who do well in that part of the competition should be admired and move forward in the competition. If Miss Colorado got dinged for her “performance” – either by the judges or the View ladies – she deserved it. BTW I like the winner for having an old-fashioned name. There are not too many Bettys around these days.
