I've never cared for having either of the Transformers twins attached to Trek,
and am highly skeptical that this can make the announced premiere date, given
how dates for the Abrams-era films frequently slipped.
I mean, it seems to be a stretch that a legacy show can be developed, cast,
shot, and ready for air in 14 months time. At least not without corners being
cut - and that's supposed to be a new-Battlestar Galactica thing.
Tying this exclusively to the CBS All Access service also smacks of desperation
from the Eye, but YMMV.

at work with Abrams and company on Paramount's feature ST Beyond, to which the
series will not be related...
