In my head when I see a DVD set marked down I wonder if I should buy now or
wait to see if the price goes down more. I haven't subscribed to any
streaming services because I would feel obligated to devote the time to
watching if I did and I don't feel like I'm missing something if I don't.
But whatever peak the DVD market had, it's definitely over it and studios
and Companies like Shout Factory will at some point want to empty their
warehouses and will drop their prices. I also notice that Best Buy and
Costco have shrunk their DVD racks considerably.

If you want The Wire and don't mind a used set, look at half.com. A good
set from a reputable seller can be had for about $50.
