He has had his ups and downs in business over the years and he figures when
the news cycle moves on and he gets back to business he will be less toxic
people won't remember or at least retain intensive feelings. Plus the
market for most of his branded properties is wealthy people and they may
agree with him and see no reason to stop doing business. The stuff that's
marketed to the masses like menswear and cologne might just be sacrificed.

That has already been reported in the US. Trump has not been an active real
estate developer in years. Carl Hiaasen had a column in the Miami Herald
months ago mentioning how a Trump-named project fell apart when the primary
developers turned out to be mob related and were brought up on corruption
charges.

If he racks up delegates in the early primaries and caucuses the
investigative work will begin in earnest. There is a problem when so many
marginal candidates have one or two rich backers and that keeps them in the
race and it keeps the Republican Party from having a two person race where
donors who oppose Trump can donate to the other candidate. Right now a lot
of those donors are on the sidelines.
