Whatever occasioned the comment, this is what I was thinking as well. It is a little paradoxical that part of what made Grease Live more appealing than the NBC musicals is that, rather than trying to be a live Broadway show on television, it was a huge, complex, ambitious live television show. It was done in a place (probably one of the few places in the world) that could have supported such an effort, with technical and tradespeople who know how to do it.
