to "event" TV (and, of course SNL). NBC has been doing live episodes of
their sitcom "Undateable," but their scripts need A LOT of work. Talk shows
used to be live, and simple one-on-one interview shows... but now those
seem destined to the world of podcasting or live-streaming like Kevin
Pollak's Chat Show. You fans of musicals can have your event productions,
but I wish it would pave the way for more live scripted dramatic series...
why not live versions of something like The Twilight Zone or Outer Limits?
I just wish being live wasn't such an oddity. There is something fun about
the theatrical constraints of a production that must occur in that
moment... it needn't be unique.
