Having every major story of the day available on the Internet basically killed the model, as did the industry's decision that it mattered not only how many people tuned in to your network but how long they watched. The Weather Channel is a shell of its former glory days for similar reasons. Also, it feels redundant when CNN is basically doing nothing but rolling generalist news now. It was a little less so when there were non-newscast shows like Larry King or Crossfire or single-subject shows like Lou Dobbs or Inside Politics. -- -- TV or Not TV .... The Smartest (TV) People!
