Joe, I think what's more likely is that they were told there was no more
work for them and that was that. They were probably told they'll keep using
old segments with them in them for the new show, but they didn't need to
come in and do any more "Street Story" filming. When the news broke, Sesame
Workshop (who made the decision on their own with no input from HBO or PBS)
changed their minds and will make an effort to include them going forward
until they retire.
