As a moderator, I do believe Wallace did the best job. As a journalist, he
was an embarrassment to his profession, which is nothing new. A critique I
have of FoxNews -- though sadly MSNBC and CNN do this as well -- is they
tend to weigh uninformed opinions as equal to informed ones, and they give
equal weight to wild speculation and verified facts. Wallace asked hard
questions of the candidates, but considering the hard questions he asked of
Clinton were based largely on uninformed opinion and wild speculation,
whereas questions asked of Trump were based on informed opinions and
verified facts, he shouldn't have approached them as equals. I understand
that he HAD to do that as a moderator, but as a journalist it was shameful.

I agree with PGage that the biggest takeaway, which Trump stated again
today on the campaign trail, is that he'd only accept election results if
he emerged as the winner. The thought that leaped into my head at that
moment is that I need to schedule another afternoon at the gun range with
my expert-marksman friend. If Trump loses, he may try to literally create a
second civil war, and I am woefully unprepared for that.
