Sadly, their common ground is their mutual disdain for Muslims, though Milo spends more of his time hating those within his own LGBTQ community. He was notoriously banned from Twitter last year for racist and incendiary comments about Leslie Jones, one of the costars of the Ghostbusters reboot. Both engage in ugly rhetoric about people they dislike... you either agree with them or you're stupid... that sort of thing. Much like our current commander in chief, both men rely on false statistics or outright lies to back up their beliefs. Milo is more to the liking of the so-called alt-right (Nazis, bigots, et al) because he is (unknowingly or not) self-hating, in desperate need for attention, and verbally attacks others to puff up his own ego. Maher is more to the liking of the so-called new-atheists (anti-Islam, bigots, et al) because he is (unknowingly or not) self-hating, in desperate need for attention, and verbally attacks others to puff up his own ego. I was a longtime fan of Maher for decades. Now, if I met him, I'd probably punch him in his smug, pretentious face. I was never a fan of Milo, and I suspect my reaction to meeting him would be the same as if I met Maher.
