While I like the concept, Fathom has burned me in the past. The event is sent via live stream to the participating theaters. During a Star Trek Fathom event a couple of years ago, the live stream went out. Instead of resuming at the place where the feed was lost, the program continued as if the clock kept running. We received an apology and a pass to a future movie from the theater, but the point of going to the event in the first place was kind of lost.
Apparently due to fear of bootlegging, Fathom won't let theaters download the content in advance. It seems like there could be a better way in 2017. -Stan -- -- TV or Not TV ....
