Yes, we saw Jennifer Hudson, Chris Hayes, and the guy who will be playing Willy Wonka on Broadway.
While I knew that there were edits to tighten things up, I wasn't aware that Colbert would stop tape and start a joke over again if he tripped over a line. As far as I recall, Dave would just roll with it. He also recorded a greeting for an upcoming affiliate convention which, in all fairness, I remember Dave had to do multiple takes when recording network promos during the taping. Another note of interest (to me, anyway) is that two of the three guests stayed after their segment to chat with Stephen off mic and camera. It showed me that he was interested in the guests and they were t just another blue card interview. Chris Hayes ran out after his segment, but I assume that he had to get back across town to prep for his own show. I was also amused that the stage manager used the same "rolled up paper wave" to prompt the audience to cheer that Rip Torn used on "The Larry Sanders Show". -Stan -- -- TV or Not TV ....
