In 2011, what was then News Corp.'s attempt to buy out the majority
interest in the UK satellite service Sky that it didn't own was thwarted by
the Murdoch-owned London tabloid hacking scandals. Six years later, the
company now known as 21st Century Fox is trying again--and Wendy Walsh, the
former Fox News Channel commentator who has accused Bill O'Reilly as sexual
improprieties, has shown up with her attorney in London to testify to
Ofcom, the UK's communications regulator, as it is holding hearings whether
to approve the sale, so that they are aware of the company culture at FNC
under Roger Ailes:

For the record, Sky subscribers do get FNC, but ratings have shown that
very few watch the channel, which is seen overseas exactly as seen in the
U.S., outside of commercials being blocked and either replaced with local
ads or (more likely) weather maps and news graphics. Sky News, the
service's own 24-hour news channel, is pretty much straight down the
middle, due to government requirements that pretty much don't allow
dominant opinions and has pretty much made American-style right-wing talk
radio almost non-existent, except basically one personality, a Jon Gaunt
who has been unable to hold his jobs and is presently just doing a podcast.
