I'll sometimes find an erroneous email in the promoted/promotional tab on
Gmail, but I rarely check my spam folder so I don't know if I'm losing
posts or replies

Companies have caught on to those of us who block/report all promoted
Tweets, and they have started paying verified accounts to promote their
crap. So although I years ago blocked Budweiser, if they pay some reality
star who I haven't gotten around to blocking yet to post a Tweet ad about
their p*ss beer, I'll end up seeing it. I understand that ads are how
"freemium" apps stay in business, but it still annoys me.
