Rodney Bingenheimer, the Sunset Strip scenemaker in the 60s who became a Sunday night DJ on LA's KROQ in 1976 (when they were still a Top 40 station and five years away from becoming the "World Famous" modern rocker they are today) has been fired by the station after an amazing run--his final "Rodney on the ROQ" show will be this Sunday night:

For his part, he says that he is not retiring and still loves to play new artists. I would suspect that he could end up on either KCRW or KCSN, the two public radio stations that play AAA music in LA. -- -- TV or Not TV .... The Smartest (TV) People!
