The colorful broadcaster for the Chicago White Sox since 1982 (with a few
years off between 1986 and 1990, one of those as Sox general manager),
known for his home run call "You can put it on the boooard--YESSSSS!" and
his player nicknames, will be leaving the booth at the end of the 2018
season--next year, he'll be mostly calling Sunday home games on WGN in
Chicago and Comcast SportsNet Chicago:

Harrelson, 75, had said that he wanted to stay until the 2020 season, but
the club must've made him an offer he couldn't refuse (sorry). Jason
Benetti, who was being groomed to replace Harrelson since he started with
the Sox in 2016, will became the primary voice of the Sox and continue to
do various play-by-play work for ESPN.
