While I have doubts my folks would have shelled out that much $ (USD or CAN) back in the day, I distinctly recall having a silver/chrome Sanyo Beta at the house with the LA Olympics logo. The ABC broadcast premiere of Star Trek II was one of the first things I recall recording with it.
