Okay - Adam, you did indirectly give me the key to the solution.

The guide on my Xfinity On Demand lists availability for seasons 4 - 7
(with 7 being the one currently showing on PBS). But when I click through
on Seasons 4 - 6 to watch them on Netflix, they are listed as Seasons 1 -
3. And, even more curiously, from what I can tell using names of bakers
and air dates given on Wikipedia, they are not even in chronicological
order, so that what Netflix calls Season 1 is actually season 5; Netflix
Season 2 is actually season 4, and Netflix season 3 is actually season 6.

When I went to my archive as suggested by Adam, I saw that while Xfinity
had told me I was watching Season 4, on Netflix it was actually Season 2.
At some point in the evening I switched to watching it via my Firetstick,
and not Xfinity, which took me without making my scroll through to the
middle of the episode I had most recently been watching. When I went back
to Netflix this morning (via the Firestick) and looked for Season 4,
episode 10 I could not find it, and instead should have been looking ofr
Season 2 episode 10 (with the Wedding Cake Shostopped - sorry for the mild
spoiler).

I guess the renumbering would make sense if it had something to do with a
technical difference between "The Great British Bake-off" and the US
serialization of it, but since they are out of order that does not seem to
be it.

Anyway, now I know what I am looking for is season 5 and 6, and they do not
seem to be available for streaming in the US.
