I think the timing of publishing the article was unfortunate, but I understand it as the decision to run it was made before Trump crossed the line in that press conference. In my years watching Dave's talk shows I thought the low point was when Dave apologized to Trump for calling him a racist over the birther issue when Trump never apologized or recanted. I never minded Trump's LS appearances. He always parroted shallow talking points from business and political talk shows and never dreamed he would be held accountable for what he said. The only guests I made a point to miss were reality TV stars like Paris Hilton, Lauren Hill, and Spencer and Heidi.
