My extrapolation is: if you are going to "go there" your joke had better be damn funny. Larry David had no real joke in that clip. His humor is about setting up uncomfortable situations and probing how people react. While watching it I felt he made a conscious decision to use a concentration camp for shock value but the story did not pay off. It's possible that the right comic with the right sensibility could find a joke that would pay off. I can't conceive of what that joke would be, though. -- -- TV or Not TV ....
