The weird thing here is that the trend in the last several years has been the OTA networks owning the bulk of their programming. This sale to Disney would have someone else owning the bulk of Fox programming--and the programming that 21st Century Fox would still be owning would be the Fox Sports event coverage contracts (which the affiliates would be happy) and Fox News-produced programming (which appeals to an audience way out of the target demo for Fox and the other OTA networks). Not to mention the thought of Bart Simpson and Peter Griffin under the same corporate umbrella as Mickey, Donald and Goofy (and "The Simpsons" are still Fox's biggest corporate symbols).
