Just noticing that the thumbnail for this link on Google Inbox is a freeze
frame from one of my local TV stations (KEYE) featuring two anchors with
30+ years on the Austin airwaves who were pushed out shortly after Sinclair
bought the station, which is yet another problem with the state of local
TV. Even when the studio is local, the revolving door of executives and
on-air talent who constantly cycle through mean that the people trying to
tell you what's going on in your city often don't have roots there and
often have no interest in putting down those roots.
