Hmm - I assumed when they say he does these shows live they mean that they air right after the event is over (I have only ever watched them later, on my DVT). My point was he would be better served not doing the show live, but taping it after the event happened. I know this was a long speech, but if typically it was over at 10:00 ET and he taped it at 11:00, he would have more time to work on it.
The advantage of being on the West Coast is simply that they would be working on this at 7:00 rather than 10:00, a more decent hour to be working. This is a longtime gripe I have about tv news guys complaining about being up late waiting for election returns. They always say something like “its going to be a late night as they wait past midnight, and I am like - “dude, just do your show from Los Angeles instead of NY and it wont be that late”. If you are saying they do it live but at their regular 11:35 time, then my plan would give them less time to prepare - though I still think they would do a better job working earlier in the evening from the Pacific Time Zone (or maybe spend the week in Hawaii)?
