I just discovered that my local CBS affiliate (WUSA - DC) is owned by a company
currently haggling with Verizon over carriage renegotiation.  Starting sometime
today Tegna is withholding carriage approval while the companies negotiate.
Not having dealt with one of these situations before, I was wondering if anyone
had insight about any of the following:
How long these squabbles usually last (my vague recollection is days at the
most).
How on-demand and online access are affected (presumably anything requiring a
cable log-in would no longer be accessible, but I don't know how that affects
programming that aired prior to the start of the dispute).
This might all be moot within 24 hours, but just in case I thought I'd bend the
collective ear.
Best,David
