This is an interesting issue, I would like to hear more about what they
were thinking. COVID-19 is in the US, has been for a month and a half. It’s
not clear that TAR contestants are more at risk of infection abroad than
here, unless they were planning on going to particularly high risk
countries (Chins, S. Korea, Italy?). Or is it more that all the time in
airplanes increases risk? Or perhaps the consequences if a racer or two
developed even mild sx for the whole show were too complex to solve.
