Of all the late night folk, British Jimmy's show seems closest to Ellen's
already.
On the off chance that Ellen's program goes away, I can see them trying this,
if only because new daytime talk shows seem to hit big every once in a blue
moon over here. Bringing over a host from another show would be an attempt to
capitalize on an existing audience.
This is a reach, but given that we have a UK readership, I'll ask. Is it
possible Mr. Corden jumped the pond because he's worn out his welcome or
otherwise hit his ceiling in the UK? I know he's done a week of shows every
summer or so back in London, and had other projects in the UK since starting on
Late Late, so I suspect it's not true.
