It should be pointed out that all of North America's major professional leagues except Major League Soccer own and operate their own linear cable channels that present a varying number of live telecasts (Turner Sports operates NBA TV). Also, I believe the rules that waive antitrust rules for the NFL state that all telecasts of games must be sponsored (including the Amazon streams), which stopped HBO when they tried to go after Monday Night Football some years ago.
