While watching the masked goodnights on this week's SNL, I noticed
something interesting:

About halfway through the credits scroll - about the time that the band
members were listed - the director cut to a shot of Lenny Pickett playing
his sax solo, and the camera zoomed out to show the rest of the horn
section. But they weren't in Studio 8H behind the masked actors and the
rest of the band - they were in Studio 6B, on the Tonight Show set. Pickett
was on the floor, and the rest of the horn section was on the platform in
front of the desk and couch.

And to be clear, this was the "permanent" set in 6B, not the "temporary"
set in 6A that Fallon has been using since the Tonight Show returned to
production there in July.

I never thought before about how many particles get expelled by somebody
blowing into a saxophone. So this is one more step they're taking to
protect the staff and audience.

One more thing: according to Wiki, Fallon's current set in 6A uses "the set
of the former NBC talk show *Megyn Kelly Today
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Megyn_Kelly_Today>* modified with a darker
atmosphere inspired by Fallon's home." Having never seen that show, I had
no idea.
