Without revealing confidences, I think that the fact that the producers
still haven't called on LeVar Burton -- and they surely can't be unaware of
the cult-like following he's developed (and I mean, seriously; it's like
those Snyder Cut people) -- points to the truth of unpleasant stories I've
heard about his personality and dealings with others. His ego aside ("I'm
the most qualified person to do the job" "Alex would be proud to have me"),
I've heard some very unflattering things that seem to be confirmed every
time he's not announced.
