Adam, I thought Oliver was very circumspect, and I am surprised they censored it. He made two basic comments as I recall, one ironically observing the shock with which the world media reacted to the news that a 96 year old woman died of natural causes, and a second (prefaced with a caution that it may be offensive, so I guess this was the part that was censored) was that the nicest thing QE2 ever did for anybody was dying in the week that Liz Truss became PM, to save the PM for much deserved ridicule for how awful she is.
Maybe the most notable thing was that Oliver did not make any formal notice or offer any solemn condolences on his former Queen’s death (or maybe he’s a dual citizen and still a subject?)
