Now that the season has started the episodes are shorter and are based around recaps of the previous week’s shows. It looks like the long form interviews were for the summer rerun weeks.
Michael brings up brainstorming ideas which might or might not go anywhere. One is some kind of bonus for running a category. He brought the idea up again, this time with Buzzy. Buzzy asked if the bonus money would be part of the score amount and Michael said it wouldn’t. Michael said it might be a prize and not money. Sarah said she looked in the records and there was a time Jeopardy gave out sponsor prizes but they were all pretty tacky. Reading from a viewer’s comment, Michael suggested only giving the bonus if a contestant started from the top of the category and worked their way down.
