As of the 8 pm Pacific advisory from the National Weather Service, Hilary had 
maximum sustained winds of 90 mph, which is on the high side of a Category 1.  
Most of Southern California remains under a tropical storm watch, and the 
expectation is that the storm will still have that much punch once it arrives.
