I struggled over this one too. What I finally ended up doing was moving the dish to G1 and doing a soft reboot of the receiver. After reboot, change the transponder to 3. If you get a digital lock, wait about 20 minutes and the guide will download. If not, 100 or 601 will also work. It takes about 20 minutes though.
