You may be victim of radar or other out of band interference. Most of my customers that have encountered this all claimed that analog looked fine. However, upon closer investigation, they can see a little white stair stepping line zipping through the analog signals. But in comparison to the devastation on digital, they don't even notice it.
This is most likely the case if ALL C-Band digital channels are affected at the same time (and Ku would be unaffected). You would also notice a quality that goes from above 25, down to 0 and then back. Both Microwave Filter Corp and Communications and Energy Corp make filters for this that go between the LNB and the feed horn. The price range for the part is $400-$600 -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of dbmccarver Sent: Sunday, August 06, 2006 5:14 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [TVRO] 4DTV BlankI'm having trouble with my 4DTV. My digital reception is breaking down ... lots of tiling off and on. It is losing the subscription, too. My signal strength is good. I thought some tree limbs were giving me a problem, but I trimmed and still tiling. My analog reception is ok so I assume some problem with the receiver. I have checked my inside connections and they all appear ok. I haven't checked the outside connections (my dish is on a pole so it's difficult), but I don't think it's a dish problem or my analog would be screwed up. Right? Any ideas on what my problem might be? Thanks, David M.
