This upcoming Friday evening (1-26), Sea Launch on its first launch of 
2007 is scheduled to launch NSS-8 communications satellite for SES New 
Skies on a Zenit-3SL rocket from the Odyssey Launch Platform positioned 
on the equator in the Pacific Ocean.

Launch window opens at 6:22 p.m. EST.with a window extending to 6:59 
p.m. EST.

Spacecraft separation around 1 hour  after lift off over the Indian Ocean.

NSS-8 satellite is a Boeing 702 spacecraft with 56 C-band and 36 Ku-band 
transponders and will replace the existing NSS-703 satellite. NSS-8 will 
provide coverage to two-thirds of the globe, serving countries in 
Europe, Africa, the Middle East, the Indian subcontinent and Asia, 
providing broadcast applications, government and military operations, 
corporate communications and Broadband Internet services. NSS-8  will be 
located @ 57 degrees East Longitude.


***This launch should dedicated in memory of the late Dean Spratt, long 
time W0KIE Satellite Radio Network show host & rocket launch enthusiast 
like me, who passed away Jan 20th after suffering from a stroke :-(

AMC-5 @ 79 degrees West, transponder 10 Ku band (11979.5 Horizontal) DVB 
4:2:0, SR: 5.632

Test signals start at 5:30 p.m. EST.
Broadcast starts at 6:05 p.m. EST.

For those in view of NEW SKIES 7 (NSS7) @ 22 degrees West, there will be 
also a DVB feed of the launch on Transponder 3 Ku (11098.9 Mhz 
Horizontal) SR: 5632  PAL.

Test signals start at 2230 GMT.
Broadcast starts at 2305 GMT.
