When my friend installed the dish he tapped the drive's barrel
and added grease fitting on one end and vent plug at the other.
Every year when paying my annual satellite subscription
I schedule to regrease the screw. No problems in 14 years.

Anyone who has a spare Saginaw ought to keep it as a spare. No electric
motor lasts forever. My Saginaw's brushes wore down to the nubs at about 15
years. Outboard motor power tilt brushes came to my Saginaw's rescue in
spite of heavily worn armature. As a consequence of that wear, I wouldn't
expect the replacements to last anywhere near as long.
