properly?

Yes it does and thank you. I was thinking of buying 2nd hand from ebay
but am leery of a distance sale esp when the difference in price
between flea bay and new is $140 in some cases=peace/loss of mind.

How did you learn so much about qualifying this receiver?

  Thanks again.

ID should start out 00-12F0 thru 00-12F5 & Line B, Receiver # should
start out 000-03177 thru 000-03180. If it doesn't, then chances are
the Unit ID is corrupt and will not receive digital channels. The unit
receiver number, Options 6, 5, Line B should also match the U/A number
on the back of the receiver.

satellite & channel number. If time is at 12:00 and when On/Off button
is pressed on front panel and it shows only a 1, then that indicates
no memory is stored, usually caused by a dead battery.
