I am new to this group and have been reading all the posts from the first of the year. So far, everything I have read has been very informative.
My house has a dish that was left by the previous owners. It is a model Dish500 with dual LNB. Can I buy a receiver that is compatible with Dish Network programming, hook it up, subscribe to a service for tv reception and expect it to work? If yes, what receiver would be most compatible? I am located in North Orange County of Southern California. Carbon Canyon to be exact. The dish has a clear view of the southern sky. Any input would be helpful. Thanks, JM
