Mark, I'm sure the link to the business was trying to be helpful rather than advertising. I'm sure he doesn't have any connections with the company other than he buys from them.
Not sure about your receiver and the EPG. I don't know that one. Most FTA receivers have a full scan feature or blind scan as some call it. I use that everytime I change sats. BTW, FTA receivers will work for DVB broadcasts on both KU and C bands. Using that blind scan feature - the receiver will do a complete search for all transponders and t hen find channels available on each one and save them in the channel list. EPG and channels are two different things also. EPG is a program guide for the channels. Adding EPG for a channel is impossible on anything that I'm aware of. Usually the EPG gets it's information from the channel's data stream. Not all channels send EPG information. If you meant adding channels, you should be able to do that. Most sat channels have a website and they have their program guide listed there. That's what I use most of the time. As for wild feeds, forget finding out ahead of time what's on there. You can't even tell when they wi ll be available for the most part. Other than the ones sending syndicated programming to the tv stations. Those are pretty much the same shows at the same time on the same day every week. But, you just need to write this information down someplace to have it handy. One last comment - never call the service number listed for one of them. Just my opinions.
